Troops repel attackers, one injured in Plateau By: Zagazola Makama Troops under Operation OPEP have repelled an isolated attack along Huke–Rewienko road in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. Security sources said the incident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on April 12 following reports of sporadic gunfire in the area. According to the sources, troops of Sector 3 OPEP swiftly responded and intervened, forcing the attackers to flee the scene. They added that one civilian sustained injuries during the incident and was evacuated for medical attention. The sources noted that troops are maintaining presence in the area to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of residents.
