A man was wounded and captured after a shootout near the Women's Hospital in Villas del Río, Culiacán. The incident occurred during a chase in which security forces intercepted the suspect. The city of Culiacán is once again the scene of a daytime shootout, this time next to a critical hospital area. It is unacceptable that containment protocols continue to allow crossfire to come within meters of patients and medical personnel. The official "effort" seems overwhelmed when the streets turn into war zones without warning. The inventory of seized items includes: - A pickup truck. The suspect is hospitalized under custody pending his transfer to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
