SAA event in Mexico on Sat 11th April 2026

Four armed men stormed the home of a commander with the State Citizen Security Force (FESC) in Colonia Hidalgo, Mexicali, on Friday night and forcibly abducted a two-year-old boy. The attack occurred around 8:00 p.m. while the police chief was away from home. The commander's brother-in-law attempted to resist the kidnapping. He was shot twice and treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to a hospital in critical condition. The confrontation lasted minutes; the assailants acted with precision and prior knowledge of the house. The police commander arrived minutes after the attack and requested immediate backup. A search operation was launched in the region, but no results have been confirmed so far. Unofficial reports indicate that the boy's mother led or facilitated the entry into the house.
