In a strategic blow to criminal surveillance and operational structures in Culiacán, Sinaloa, agents of the Interinstitutional Group arrested a suspect and seized an arsenal that included high-powered weapons, explosives, and technological espionage equipment. The operation took place on Friday, April 10, with the execution of a search warrant at a property whose exact location is being kept confidential for security reasons. The operation was the result of close coordination between the Mexican Army (SEDENA), the National Guard (GN), and the Sinaloa Special Operations Group (GOES) of the State Police, with support from the Mexican Navy and both state and federal prosecutors. What distinguishes this seizure is the discovery of electronic devices that were allegedly used for counterintelligence and surveillance of law enforcement movements. Among the items seized by federal authorities are: 6 video surveillance cameras and 4 state-of-the-art tablets. 4 rifles and 2 handguns. 6 fragmentation grenades. 45 magazines and 922 rounds of ammunition. 9 kilograms of processed marijuana ready for sale. Various tactical gear bearing the logos of criminal organizations. The Federal Security Cabinet emphasized that this search is part of ongoing efforts to pacify the region following recent high-impact events in Sinaloa. The detainee, whose identity has not been released, was immediately transferred to the facilities of the Attorney General's Office (FGR) to determine his legal status and his possible connection to hitman cells operating in the central part of the state.
