Other MoA event in Arunachal Pradesh, Changlang District area, India on Thu 26th March 2026
26th March 2026
On March 26, three personnel of the Assam Rifles (AR) were reportedly killed in an attack by militants of the Yung Aung faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K-YA) along the Namgoi–Pangsau road near the Indo-Myanmar Border in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports Ukhrul Times. A press statement issued later by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) of NSCN-YA claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that its Naga Army Tactical Unit targeted a construction team of the 10th AR engaged in building a fence along the border. The outfit asserted that the attack was carried out in response to protests by Naga groups against what it termed an “illegal” fencing project by the Government of India (GoI) along the boundary. The militant group further warned that such construction activities would provoke resistance from Naga groups on both sides of the border.
