On April 8, Security Forces (SFs) recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a road in Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. An Army official said the IED was “apparently meant to target security forces’ vehicles.” It was found along the Zainapora–Chitargam road during routine sanitisation operations. A bomb disposal squad neutralised the device, averting a potential tragedy.
