A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commando from the Commando Battalion for resolute Action (CoBRA) battalion sustained injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast during an anti- Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) operation in the Saranda Forest area, where Security Forces (SFs) launched a joint operation against the CPI-Maoist, under the Chotanagra Police Station limits in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on April 6, reports Pragativadi. Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Renu confirmed that the IED, planted by Maoists, exploded and injured jawan Manoj Kumar. He suffered minor injuries and is reported to be in stable condition. SFs intensified combing operations across the forest to flush out Maoist squads led by senior leader Misir Besra, who carries a bounty of INR 10 million. The operation aims to dismantle the Maoist presence and restore peace in the district.
