Nine people, including four Policemen, were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in the Serai Naurang town of Lakki Marwat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 1, reports Dawn. District Police spokesperson Qudratullah Khan said that the explosion occurred on the Bannu-Dera Ismail Khan Road near a fruit and vegetable market. He said that terrorists had fitted an IED to a motorcycle to target the Police patrolling van of Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak Police Station that was passing through the area. Head Constable Waheedullah and Constables Syed Anwar, Hadiullah and Ikramullah were injured in the explosion. The van the Police party in which they had been patrolling, was also damaged in the explosion.
