On April 1, a low-intensity blast occurred outside the Punjab BJP Headquarters in Sector 37, Chandigarh, reports The Tribune. No casualties were reported. The banned outfit BKI claimed responsibility, linking the attack to the encounter killing of Ranjit Singh (19), a Gurdaspur resident. A crude device reportedly landed on a sand stack; an Activa and Sedan were damaged. BJP leader Vineet Joshi was present.
