Armed Robbery in Bogotá: Criminals Steal Van but Abandon It Thanks to GPS Tracking Two people were left in panic after being held up by five armed criminals in northern Bogotá. The incident occurred at the intersection of Carrera 71D and Calle 126, where the thieves pointed guns at the victims, stole their mobile phones, and hijacked their vehicle, a Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid van. Thanks to the van’s built-in GPS tracking system, authorities were able to quickly locate the stolen vehicle. It was found abandoned near the CAI Caldas in the Kennedy district. Police reported that the criminals had switched the license plates during their escape in an attempt to avoid detection. The Bogotá Metropolitan Police are actively investigating to identify and capture the perpetrators.
