Six Suspected Members of CJNG-Linked Cell Captured in Zacatecas Following Deadly Attack in Guadalupe. Three adults and three minors were located using C5 surveillance cameras. After an armed attack in the municipality of Guadalupe left two people dead on March 19, as confirmed by the Secretary General of the Government, Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza, authorities in Zacatecas launched an operation that culminated in the arrest of six suspected members of the "Zacatecas Force," a cell identified as part of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) structure, according to official information. The Undersecretary of Public Security, Ginés Jaime Ruiz, identified the adult detainees as Cristian N., Maricela N., and Isaac N. The arrests, carried out in the Jardines de Sauceda neighborhood, also included three minors. One of those arrested is identified as a suspected instigator of violence and allegedly disseminated threatening messages on social media and through narco-messages, according to authorities. During the raids on residences and the operation, the following items were seized: doses of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana; 22 bags of suspected marijuana and 51 packets of suspected cocaine; two firearms with loaded magazines; tire-puncturing devices and communication equipment; and a Volkswagen Virtus with Jalisco license plates. The operation was coordinated between the FRIZ (Specialized Anti-Drug Force), the National Guard, the FGJEZ (State Attorney General's Office of Zacatecas), and the SSPC (Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection). It should be noted that on February 28, 18 alleged members of the same group had already been arrested in Nochistlán de Mejía, including three high-priority targets, according to official reports.
