Five municipal officials from Chavinda, Michoacán, arrested in security operation for alleged ties to organized crime. The coordinated action reveals alleged infiltration in key areas of the local government. According to authorities, Operation "Enjambre" and "Plan Michoacán" resulted in the arrest of five public servants from the municipality of Chavinda. The municipal trustee was identified as the primary target of the operation. The detainees, according to official information, are: - Ana Laura C.R., 31 years old, municipal trustee - Jesús V.A., 29 years old, councilman for education, culture, tourism, science and innovation - Juan Carlos J.G., 47 years old, director of Public Security - Paulo César A.C., 34 years old, councilman for economic development - César Adrián O.S., 38 years old, deputy director of municipal Public Security. At the scene, according to official reports, the following items were seized: - 1 vehicle marked as "Chavinda Municipal Police" - 2 long guns and 1 handgun - 3 magazines and 221 rounds of ammunition - 7 packets of suspected cocaine - 1 vest. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the extent of the alleged network within the municipal structure.
