Military personnel located the site during reconnaissance patrols near the Aurelio Benassini Vizcaíno “El Salto” dam. According to official information, members of the Mexican Army detected a camp allegedly used by members of organized crime in that area of ​​the municipality of Elota. After locating the site, personnel conducted a security inspection. During the search, various items and weapons were seized and placed under the custody of the authorities for the corresponding investigations. Among the items found were: - 3 long guns, including a .50 caliber Barrett rifle - 11 magazines - 1,580 rounds of ammunition (currently being counted) - 2 ATVs. The material was turned over to the competent authorities to continue with the legal proceedings.
