SAA event in Mexico on Thu 19th March 2026

In broad daylight in Irapuato, Guanajuato, two hired killers (sicarios) shot and killed a man inside his pickup truck in the historic center, right in front of the municipal presidency building. Security camera footage shows the attackers approaching on foot from both sides of the vehicle and firing multiple times at close range as the victim tried to park. At that exact moment, a municipal traffic patrol vehicle was passing by or stopped nearby (some reports indicate it was waiting at a traffic light just meters away), yet the officers took no action to intervene. The incident, which occurred around March 19, 2026, has sparked widespread outrage. Authorities later opened an internal investigation, and at least one traffic officer was reportedly detained for alleged omission or failure to act.
