An explosion occurred at a gate to an apartment building in Södertälje late on Wednesday evening.

– It is a minor explosion without major injuries, says Nadya Norton, police spokesperson.

The incident was reported at 11:32 p.m. on Wednesday. No one was reported injured and there is no information that any perpetrator has been arrested.

The case is classified as a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods and Destruction of Public Danger. During the day, a technical examination of the site was carried out and the investigation continues, among other things, to find out what happened.

Police will be on site in the area over the weekend to answer questions and receive tips.
