SAA event in Mexico on Thu 19th March 2026

Culiacán, Sinaloa – Eleven suspected members of a criminal group were killed during an operation led by federal forces in the community of El Álamo, part of the El Salado district, south of Culiacán. An intense operation was carried out in the area early this morning. According to a press release issued on March 19, 2026, by the Security Cabinet, the operation was conducted by personnel from the Mexican Navy, in coordination with other authorities. Authorities stated that, in the initial phase of the operation, a residence linked to a criminal cell of the “Los Mayos” faction of the Sinaloa Cartel was searched, resulting in the arrest of a suspected member of the criminal organization.
