Morelia, Michoacán, March 19, 2026 – An operation led by members of the Mexican Army and federal forces was deployed on Fuentes Avenue in Morelia, causing a temporary closure of the road. The road was reopened after the withdrawal of the official vehicles. According to reports from the scene, agents arrived at a small restaurant where they questioned five adults (including one woman) who were customers. The individuals were subsequently searched, handcuffed, and arrested. During the operation, a pickup truck was also inspected. According to preliminary reports, suspected firearms were found inside the vehicle, which was also seized by authorities. The five individuals were taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the appropriate authorities. It was clarified that the restaurant was not involved in the incident and was operating normally after the operation concluded.
