Deadly attack in northern State of Mexico — Two people lost their lives in an incident that is already under investigation by authorities. According to official information, Jonathan Santana Arce, head of security in Soyaniquilpan, and a woman identified as Johana were attacked by unknown assailants before 7:00 p.m. on Saturday while traveling in a gray Chevrolet Captiva. Both were shot in the head. Municipal Civil Protection confirmed the double death. State and local police secured the scene and notified the Public Prosecutor's Office and forensic experts for the removal of the bodies. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico opened an investigation to determine the motive and find those responsible for the double homicide.
