UAV event in Mali on Tue 7th April 2026
7th April 2026
Mali 🇲🇱 | On April 7th, around 6 PM, a camp of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) and Russian 🇷🇺 Africa Corps paramilitaries in Aguelhok (Adjelhok, Kidal) was targeted by two FPV drones launched by Tuareg rebels of the FLA (Azawad Liberation Front).
🔸 The camp has been located on the northern outskirts of the town (see below).
🔴 The extent of material and human losses is still unknown, but the first drone (in the video) targeted a barracks in the southeast of the camp, and the second drone targeted soldiers running for cover next to the previously hit barracks.
ℹ️ As a reminder, a FAMa (Malian Armed Forces) camp, Africa Corps, located east of Aguelhok, was already targeted by drones launched by the FLA (Armed Forces of North Africa) on March 24th (marked on the map).
⚠️ These camps were hit despite appearing to be protected by signal jamming devices. The use of fiber optic FPV drones cannot be ruled out.
🔹 The attack was claimed by the FLA in a press release (📷 below).
📽️ The video of the drone attack is shown in the first comment.
