Armed Attack Leaves Man Wounded in Casas del Niño Neighborhood, Uruapan. The attack occurred Sunday night in front of his home. A man was injured by gunfire in an armed attack on Márquez Street in the Casas del Niño neighborhood of Uruapan, Michoacán. According to authorities, the victim was intercepted by individuals on a motorcycle, who fired several shots before fleeing. Neighbors alerted emergency services by calling 911 after hearing the gunshots. Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated the injured man, who had sustained at least four gunshot wounds. He was then transported to a hospital under police custody. Forensic experts from the State Attorney General's Office conducted an investigation at the scene, including the collection of ballistic evidence and the opening of an investigation file. Authorities are working to identify those responsible for the attack.
