Armed Attack Against Police Triggers Alert in Reynosa. A group of State Guard police officers was attacked with gunfire Wednesday afternoon in southern Reynosa, Tamaulipas, triggering a security alert and a pursuit across the city. According to official reports, the officers had previously participated in search operations for missing persons alongside members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army. Upon concluding the operation and leaving the area, they were ambushed by an armed group. Following the attack, security forces launched an operation in the area to locate those responsible, while authorities continue to monitor the case.
