Motorcycle taxi driver shot dead in Cancun. A motorcycle taxi driver was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in Region 227 of Cancun, prompting a large deployment of security forces. According to preliminary reports, the driver was on his motorcycle, marked with the number 80, on Chetumal Avenue, a few meters from Costa Maya Avenue, when he was attacked. After a report to 911, authorities cordoned off the area. Security personnel began the initial investigation and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to clarify what happened.
