In Lviv on December 3, a man stabbed a CCC serviceman with a knife during a document check, damaging his aorta. The serviceman died in the hospital.

Source: Operational Command "West"

Literally: "On December 3 of this year, in Lviv, while performing official duties, the mobile alert group of the Galicia-Frankivsk RTCC and SP encountered aggression from a citizen who refused to introduce himself, did not present documents, behaved defiantly and provocatively, and also did not respond to the lawful demands of law enforcement officers...

"During the activities to clarify his military registration documents, establish his identity, and carry out the necessary procedures, this man stabbed serviceman Yuriy Bondarenko in the groin, damaging the aorta, which caused massive internal bleeding."

Details: The attacker also struck senior soldier Vasyl Malyuk in the head, after which he fled the scene of the crime.

The actions of the RTCC group were recorded on video recorders, carried out within the limits of their official powers and accompanied by law enforcement officers.

Soldier Bondarenko was taken to the hospital, but despite the efforts of doctors, he died from critical blood loss.

The command reports that Bondarenko was a participant in hostilities and continued to serve Ukraine in the CCK and SP units.

"Zahid" notes that this tragedy demonstrates a deeper trend that is gradually taking on dangerous signs: "Some Ukrainians are beginning to perceive the military as an outside force that supposedly threatens their everyday life, rather than as defenders who ensure that this life can continue."

The command hopes for an investigation into the incident as soon as possible and the most severe punishment for the attacker.
