UAV event in Chernihiv, Novhorod-Siverskyi area, Ukraine on Tue 7th April 2026

Russian invaders attacked the State Tax Inspectorate building in the center of Novgorod-Siverskyi and the city council building in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, on the morning of April 7, injuring at least 5 people.

Direct speech by Seliverstov : "Around 09:30, an enemy UAV (type is currently being determined) was recorded hitting the city center of Novgorod-Siversky. The blow fell on the building of the State Tax Inspectorate. The blast wave damaged the facades of nearby residential buildings and private vehicles."

"Information about the victims is being clarified. Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene," Seliverstov said.

Suspilne also writes that the Russians attacked the center of Pryluky. 3 explosions were heard in the city. As a result of the attack, the second floor of the Pryluky City Council building is on fire.

Updated: Later, the Chernihiv Regional State Administration added that there were wounded as a result of enemy attacks.

"In the morning, the Russians attacked administrative buildings in Novgorod-Siverskyi and Pryluky. There are fires at the site of the attacks. Rescuers and all necessary services are working. According to preliminary data, there are wounded," the Regional State Administration reported.

Later, Suspilne, citing the head of the Pryluky Regional Police Department, Volodymyr Chernov, reported that at least 5 people were injured in the city as a result of the attack, one woman is in serious condition.

It is noted that there were a total of three drone flights between 10:10 and 10:30.

"One of the strikes hit the Pryluky City Council building. Two more struck other civilian administration facilities. There were no injuries among the city council employees. At the same time, at least five people are known to have been injured with burn injuries, one person is in serious condition," Chernov said.
