On 29 March 2026, an IED of unknown origins exploded in front of a police station in Sanaa - Al Jiraf (Aththaorah, Amanat al Asimah), killing 1 17-year-old boy. The IED was planted in a box and handed to the boy, who was working as a delivery person, and was asked to deliver it to the police station. The IED was detonated when the boy called the number on the box as he was instructed when he could not find the person he was supposed to deliver to.
