On 31 March 2026, around 12:20am Abu Dhabi time, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched 1 drone that directly impacted the Al Salmi crude oil tanker (IMO: 9534793) in the Persian Gulf, around 31 nm northwest of Dubai in the UAE. The projectile hit the starboard side of the ship, causing a fire that was later contained. There were no casualties. The IRCG claimed the 'Israeli-linked' ship was named Haiphong Express, and that they targeted it with a ballistic missile.
