On 30 March 2026, Russian forces (units of the 'Dnieper' group likely by shelling and drone strikes as the most common means) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades near Preobrazhenka, Zaporizhia. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: nine vehicles, two electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots, two supply depots and up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Orikhiv and Preobrazhenka [Russian MoD reported 40 fatalities.
