On 28 March 2026, an IED planted by Al Shabaab exploded, targeting armed oppositions defected from the Southwest State Special Police Forces (SWSPF) allied with the federal government traveling on a rickshaw (tuk-tuk) near Lug-Habar village (Buur Hakaba, Bay). Casualties unknown.
