On 31 March 2026,suspected Malay Muslim separatists detonated an improvised explosive device targeting a police vehicle in Mo Sawa village, Bo-Ngo, Ra-ngae (Narathiwat) injuring five officers as they were returning from a theft investigation, with the bomb concealed in a gas cylinder weighing 25 kg, causing severe damage to the vehicle.
