On 30 March 2026, around 8:38am Riyadh time, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched 1 unspecified projectile (coded as drone based on previous activity) and 1 precision missile, within one hour of each other, that caused explosions in close proximity to the Express Rome container ship (IMO: 9484936) in the Persian Gulf, around 22nm northeast of Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia. There were no casualties and the ship was not damaged or directly hit. The IRCG claimed the attack stating they targeted the 'Israeli-linked' container ship.
