On 1 April 2026, in Ngwe Thaung village (Pakokku township, Pakokku district, Magway region), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Pakokku District Battalion-8 and allies conducted drone strikes and dropped 6 bombs on a column of about 50 Myanmar military soldiers near a school at around 7:20 am. The military soldiers retreated to Chan Thar Gyi village. 5 military soldiers were injured.
