On 31 March 2026, in Mon Thwin village (Pale township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted two airstrikes on Thar Tha Nar Yan Aung village monastery with three Gyrocopters from the Monywa-based Northwestern Regional Military Command around 12:03 pm. The airstrikes damaged two monastery buildings. There were no casualties.
