On 31 March 2026, in Waw Lay Myaing (Waw Lay) village (Myawaddy township, Myawaddy district, Kayin state), heavy weapons fired by the Myanmar military during the clash with a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) Brigade-5 and allies (coded separately) landed and exploded in the village. 4 civilians were injured.
