On 29 March 2026, at 10:00 AM local time, Hezbollah fired 2 attack drones targeting two Israeli Merkava tanks as an Israeli infantry force was attempting to infiltrate Aitaroun town (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh) from the side of Aita ech Chaab. As the force reached the Ghadmatha area, Hezbollah fighters detonated two explosive devices at a pre-prepared ambush point then engaged the Israeli force using light and medium weapons as well as rocket-propelled grenades. Casualties unknown.
