UEMS / Ammunition Depot event in Iran, Islamic Republic of on Tue 31st March 2026

On 31 March 2026, night, Israeli forces targeted the Iranian army's ammunition depot near Mount Soffe, which was one of Iran's largest ammunition depots, about 60 sheds on the Zob Ahan highway, the airfield, the Vatanpur base, and other military centers and other areas including Havaniroz, Khaghani, Simin intersection, Kaveh, Sepahan, Imam Khomeini street in Isfahan (Isfahan, Central, Isfahan), likely with bunker-busting munitions, causing several loud explosions with extensive smoke, lighting up the sky, and continued tremors (coded as air/drone strikes by default). Several strikes and fighter jets were heard for about 10-14 minutes and tremors were felt in surrounding areas such as Barkhar area. Israeli forces were coded as the main actor based on reporting that Israeli strikes focus on western and central Iran, while US operations are concentrated in the south. Israel and the United States launched a joint operation codenamed 'Roaring Lion' by Israel and 'Epic Fury' by the United States on 28 February 2026. Casualties unknown.
