Booby Trap
Booby Trap event in Iraq on Tue 31st March 2026
31st March 2026
On 31 March 2026, two or three drones launched by an unidentified armed group (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran; at least one of the drones was launched by the Islamic Resistance) targeted the military part (Victoria Camp) of the Baghdad International Airport (Baghdad). One of the drones was booby-trapped and hit the target (C-RAM air defence systems were not activated) exploding inside while the other one did not reach its target and the third one crashed in the vicinity of the airport. There were no casualties.
