On 29 March 2026, in Arenal (Bolivar), suspected members of the Jose Solano Sepulveda ELN front attacked the local police station with drones loaded with explosives. The detonation caused minor damage to the police station and major damage to a nearby house. Two civilians resulted injured, one of them severely, and were taken to hospital. There were no fatalities.
