Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Colombia on Sat 28th March 2026

On 28 March 2026, in Aguachica (Cesar), hooded men on a motorcycle threw an explosive device at a hotel in the intersection of Carrera 38 and 39, in the Baria Eugenia Alto neighborhood. The explosion damaged large part of the building's structure. Even though there were guests inside the premises at the time of the attack, no injuries were reported. Authorities suspect that the attack was linked to the kidnapping of the establishment owner's son, who has been held captive since May 2025. There is no further information. There were no casualties.
