On 22 March 2026, U.S. forces attacked a missile launcher in Bandar Abbas (Bandar-Abbas, Hormozgan) (coded as air/drone strikes by default). Two power plants, and the radio transmitter antenna of the Bandar Abbas Broadcasting Center was also targeted, killing one civilian and injuring another. In the evening, at 21:30, several more explosions were heard including an explosion in the Golshahr area and on the air base (coded separately). US forces were coded as the main actor based on reporting that Israeli strikes focus on western and central Iran, while US operations are concentrated in the south. Israel and the United States launched a joint operation codenamed 'Roaring Lion' by Israel and 'Epic Fury' by the United States on 28 February 2026. At least 1 fatality.
