On 23 March 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out drone strikes in Dehdadi district, Balkh, targeting the Taliban's 209th Al-Fath Corps. Local sources said that a loud explosion and scattered gunfire were heard. The Taliban denied that the base was targeted but confirmed that Pakistani military drones were seen over the province and were targeted by their air defense system. Casualties unknown.
