On 23 March 2026, in Las Piedras sector (Timbio, Cauca), suspected members of the Jacobo Arenas FARC dissident structure detonated explosive devices on the Panamericana highway between Timbio and Rosas municipalities as police officers were patrolling the area after being notified of suspected explosives on the road. One officer died, five were injured, and 10 civilians were injured and taken to hospital. The area is known for the presence of different FARC dissident fronts. 1 fatality.
