On 16 March 2026, at around 10:00am, Russian forces carried out drone strikes at the residential area in Zaporizhia city, (Zaporizhia). As a result, a 68-year-old civilian woman was killed on the spot as the rescue workers recovered 2 more injured civilians (15-year-old girl and 39-year-old disabled woman) from under the rubble, 8 more sustained injuries, including 1 child and 2 children. Also, several private houses were damaged and around 7.5 thousand households left without electricity.
