Army Neutralizes Drone During Operation in Navolato. A drone flying irregularly over Navolato was shot down by members of the Mexican Army during a security deployment coordinated with federal and state forces. According to the Interinstitutional Group, the device was detected near the Dautillos fishing camp and neutralized with an anti-drone rifle. During the operation, two clandestine cameras hidden in a tree along the Culiacán-Navolato-Altata highway were also located. Authorities indicate that these devices were allegedly being used to monitor movements in the area. All evidence was secured for the corresponding investigations.
