Three police officers and a retired military officer were arrested for alleged arms trafficking in Ponce Enríquez. A National Police operation in the Bella Rica sector, a mountainous area of ​​the Ponce Enríquez canton in Ecuador, resulted in the arrest of four people, including three active-duty officers and a retired military officer. According to authorities, those involved are allegedly part of a group called “Lobos SAO BOX.” During raids on two properties, several pieces of evidence related to the investigation were seized, including: three rifles, one grenade launcher, bulletproof vests, communication radios, and ammunition. The detainees were placed at the disposal of the appropriate authorities.
