SAA event in Ecuador on Wed 18th March 2026

Armed Forces carry out an operation in Esmeraldas and report the capture of three people. Three individuals were arrested in the canton of Quinindé, in the province of Esmeraldas, during a military operation, according to Ecuadorian authorities. The operation was part of ongoing security deployments in the area. According to official sources, those arrested have alleged links to a criminal organization, a claim that will be verified during the corresponding legal process. At the scene, military personnel seized several items considered relevant to the investigation: - Submachine gun - Pistols - Carbine - Ammunition of various calibers - Two mobile devices. The case has been turned over to the appropriate authorities for further legal proceedings.
