An official from the Myaing Township People's Defense Force (Myaing PDF) told Mizzima that they managed to shoot down a military commission Mi-17 helicopter in Pauk Township, Pakokku District, Magway Region.

The Northwestern Military District (Monsha-Namakha) fired on two Mi-17 helicopters that were flying back and forth between the Pauk Township Defense Equipment Factory-Kapas and the Pyu Saw Htee Camp in Pintaung Village, according to a statement from the Myaing Pakatan Harapan.

An official from the Myaing Pakafa group confirmed to Mizzima that the security forces opened fire with a point-blank (0.5) at around 3pm yesterday (April 3), hitting a helicopter. "It came at 3 o'clock. It had already been cut off three times before that. After the hit, it didn't come again. There were also reports that it was going to invade Hmaw," he said.

The two helicopters were transporting more than 100 military commission troops to Pearl, and the details of the damage are still being investigated, the source added. “It is understood that forces from Pintaung Pyu village were sent towards Pearl. After the attack, they drove a little higher towards the Pearl area where they were heading,” he said.

On March 25, a Mi-17 belonging to the Military Commission Army, which was providing support to the Katha Infantry Battalion (309) in Sagaing Region, was shot down by the revolutionary forces and forced to make an emergency landing.
