Two individuals, including a teenager, have suffered severe injuries and limb loss following landmine explosions along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in Rakhine State over the last four days.
The most recent incident occurred on Sunday, March 29, at approximately 1:00 PM near the Naf River in the Palongkhali border area of Ukhiya. Abdul Hakim, a teenage Rohingya refugee, was fishing when he triggered a mine while crossing toward the Myanmar side of the river.
