Four Police Officers Killed in Armed Attack in Escuinapa. Security sources confirmed that four officers from the Escuinapa Municipal Police died following a gun attack in the Tecualilla district. Among the victims was the operational subdirector, Esteban Gutiérrez Mazariegos. The attack occurred while the officers were on patrol and armed individuals opened fire on their patrol vehicle. Initially, local authorities reported no injuries, but security forces later confirmed the deaths of the four officers. Following the incident, federal authorities closed Highway 15 and the Mazatlán-Tepic highway while securing the area.
