Armed civilians wound two SSPC police officers in Zinapécuaro, Michoacán: The officers were attacked with gunfire in Taimeo while conducting an investigation with the State Attorney General's Office (FGE). One was shot in the leg, and the other sustained shrapnel wounds; both are in stable condition. A black RAM pickup truck, reported stolen, and rifle ammunition were seized. An operation involving the Civil Guard, the Mexican Army (SEDENA), and municipal police was launched to locate those responsible.
