The People's Liberation Army (PLA) reported that a seven-vehicle Military Council convoy was attacked on the Myeik-Tanintharyi road in Tanintharyi Region, resulting in two destroyed vehicles and several fatalities.

The PLA released a statement today (March 21) stating that after a landmine attack around 11:00 AM on March 18, a 30-minute firefight ensued between the two sides.
